  1. Well, I look forward to when you start quoting Anchorman 2 around here.

  3. So Jack, have you watched Anchorman 2 yet? Will you?
  4. LOL, that's a bit much. But yeah, I spent an hour yesterday on Netflix adding movies and shows to my watch list. It was supposed to be a short selection but interesting movies kept popping up. I couldn't help it.
  5. Please do, that would be so fun. I look forward to it.
  6. The theater I went to today is a medium-sized one, I noticed that they cancelled all American Hustle showings in favor of all the new movies as well as Hobbit, Frozen, and CF. That was weird.
  7. I was gonna watch Walter Mitty, but since both sis and boyfriend voted on Anchorman 2, I ended up watching the movie again. It was just as good and hilarious as the first time. I still laughed so much that my jaw was hurt again, lol. I thought a few of Brick's line were either a miss or overdone; but all in all, he was brilliant. Dat black man/shadow joke Paul Rudd also killed it and Will Ferrel is simply Ron Burgundy. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of Champ in this though. The cameos were crazy. My audience were cheering louder and louder as the stars lining up in the final battle. It was great fun watching a comedy like this with a big audience. A-
  8. I think it's a bore honestly. They try to stuff too much in and yet, it pays off little. Pacing and editing are kinda off and awkward. The one good redeeming quality is Idris Elba. He gave a great performance but as much as I love him, he really couldn't save the whole movie for me. C
  9. I watched Mandela today. Seriously, the movie was such a waste of a good performance from Elba.
  10. I admit I'm as biased as it gets when it comes to Scorsese's movies; but Wolf of Wall Street is really great. I love it a lot. It's fun, it's crazy. With amazing performances, from Leo and Jonah Hill especially. They did not disappoint, I got what I've come to expect from trailers and more. Really hope both got an Oscar nom. Scorsese deliver again of course. He's definitely in my Top 3 directors working right now, which makes me even sadder thinking about his recent retirement announcement :(The movie has good editing and pacing, doesn't feel long at all despite the run time. The screenplay is just as bizzare and fun as the movie itself, and it works wonderfully under Scorsese's direction. Like B said though, I also think Wolf of Wall Street might not be a lot of people's cup of tea; but it's absolutely worth it to go watch it at least once.Without a doubt, A+ from me.
  11. Dat Attorney Christmas Day number! :wub:I really hope it'll reach 9M admissions like with Snowpiercer and The Face Reader.
  12. The Suspect will be another local big hit. About Time, looks like it'll be the Hollywood movie with best leg this year. Simply wonderful result. Not sure about total gross since Hobbit has 3D/IMAX but I think About Time will end up with more admissions. And that's such a great Monday drop for The Attorney. I anticipate a big Christmas Day jump.
  13. The Attorney increased from Saturday. Incredible! :wub:My man Song Kang Ho :worthy: Remarkable year indeed. Thanks for all the updates podo :)Is that a good drop for Hobbit 2?

  15. I gave both The Fighter and SLP a B+, and this one a B; so yeah, definitely the least interesting out of the 3. Also, American Hustle just cemented for me that I'm not much fond of DOR's styles/directions in general
  16. Thanks Tele So now, the most important question is: how was Olivia Wilde? Will her performance be a determined factor in Her's BO prospect?
  17. You lucky bastard But that's great to hear. I can't wait, so excited for it. Her and Wolf are my most anticipated right now, both look fantastic. How was Phoenix? And ScarJo too (probably not worthy of all that awards attention but still, what do you think about her voice performance?)
  18. Pretty much agree with the general consensus so far. It's a very enjoyable movie. Emma Thompson was fantastic. I would be happy if she pull out a win, though it's not likely. Hanks was great also. It's a bit cheesy at times, but deliver well emotionally. Seems like a perfect movie, fitting for Christmas season cause the it gave you fluffy feelings (if that makes sense, lol) A from me.
  19. Aside from Cooper, who I think along with Adams, were very good; pretty much agree with you. Louis CK is definitely a bright spot. The movie's script is so-so to me, and it kinda felt empty. The story isn't really engaging. I don't think JLaw is miscast, but she wasn't as great as the hype make it out to be IMO. What grade would you give it? Mine is probably a B.
