laguy03
I just got the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly and inside there is an article in which EW has a forecast for the top 11 films of the summer (through Labor Day). Thought it would be interesting to discuss. Here is the list: 1. Iron Man 3 - $400M 2. Man of Steel - $325M 3. Star Trek Into Darkness - $285M 4. Monsters University - $275M 5. Despicable Me 2 - $250M 6. Fast & Furious 6 - $235M 7. The Hangover Part III - $195M 8. The Wolverine - $170M 9. White House Down - $165M 10. Pacific Rim - $150M 11. The Heat (no prediction)
TLK
Why are they so high on The Wolverine ? I'll be surprised if it breaks $150 million. Edited May 12, 2013 by TLK
DAR
I think they're a tad low on DM2 and MU
Mattrek
Except for despicable me, star trek, iron man 3 and white house down, this list pretty much is exactly the same as mine gross wise. I don't know why DM2 is so low though, the rest can happen, but DM2 is way too low. Also shouldn't this be in the regular box office forum? I think people who aren't playing the game would still be interested to discuss the article. Edited May 12, 2013 by Mattrek
RobinHood26
Overall those aren't bad predicts
ChD
They predicted 'safely'. They assumed no risk in acknowledging that a movie might break out... These are already the basic predictions for each movie. Nothing new, honestly.
kayumanggi
Their top 7 are exactly the same as mine. Just the ranking though...not the grosses.
Cedarpoint1111
Those movies should all make it to top 11 except wolverine. Grosses are odd though..

The Heat (no prediction) They actually look pretty similar to mine with some numbers changed around. I'd go lower on Wolverine, Hangover, and White House Down, and higher on STiD and Despicable Me 2. But pretty good list.
Dementeleus
Usually entertainment magazines are utterly absurd with their box-office predictions, but these seem mostly sensible all around. I might disagree with one or two, but not dramatically so.
MovieMan89
No way DM2 and MU both fail to hit 300. If one doesn't, the other sure as hell will. Mostly the list does look pretty sensible though. Except even that turned out to be too high for STID.
