LOL what happened to After Earth?  There was no theater count update or weekend number for it this weekend.  Maybe Will Smith forced theaters pulled it out from the embarrassment. I'm so glad it flopped so deservedly.

And nobody had NYSM in their top 15 for BSG!

I sooooooo wanted to put it there.  But I had Epic instead if it and Gatsby.  I would have looked so smart if I was the only one to have it there.  :)

1st congrats to Mccarthy.  She's on a damn roll.  "The Heat" ended up doing even better than I thought it would honestly.  It basically made it's budget back opening weekend.  Good Hold for "Monster U" in it's 2nd frame.  Say what you will but it's performing better than a ton of Pixar Movies outside of "Toy Story III".  It will end up becoming "Pixar's" 3rd 300 Million grosser if it keeps this up.  "White House Down".  Sadly what we all feared happen.  It's clear that "Olympus has Fallen" took some of it's mojo.  With it's seasoned cast, lower budget and solid action directing from Antwon Fuqua as well as starting Bulter you have to really give it the props it deserves.

"White House Down" had great action but it also had a comedic tone were as "Olympus" was serious throughout.  Maybe audiences just didn't want to see the White House blown up a 2nd time in 3 months.  "World War Z" is doing spectacular.  Sure the budget was out of control but it's clear this is becoming one of the Biggest Zombie movie in Box Office History.  (I am Legend I think they were vampires).   "Man of Steel" dropped hard in it's 2nd frame but that's a good 3rd frame hold.  Looks like 300 Million is happening which is huge for DC PHASE I.  Overall solid weekend.  "White House Down" is the big loser.  4th of July weekend is it's only hope to save face and maybe make 100 Million but there's a chance it won't even outgross "Olympus".
