Probably so. If the Saturday number is 29m then they would be projecting a -20.7% drop on Sunday. Certainly possible but it's quite optimistic. 

 

The openers fell about 25% in 2002.  Might be different cause it is a kids film, so maybe they are correct..

Why it has to take freaking 11 years for the ID to fall on the same week day of the year ... That makes box office model pretty irrelevant. Hard to make projections.

There's actually a pattern and it's quite regular. If you start with the year after the 11 year wait, it goes 6, 5, 6 then 11. So 2019, 2024 and 2030 are the next years that will have this calendar.

But by then the box office will be going very differently compared with now ...
