Granted, I haven't seen the former...but there's been zero indication that should have been. No prior awards and a rotten RT score. Its amazing how that film gets nominated when the likes of 50/50, DH2, 500 Days of Summer, TDK, and Star Trek don't. But, its the Academy...so its not that shocking anymore. Definitely, I just haven't seen EL&IC yet. To be honest, I'm not even sure I'm going to bother seeing that one. And hell, I even liked War Horse. Noctis Posted January 25, 2012 Share Posted January 25, 2012 I enjoyed War Horse a lot - and the last fifteen minutes were shockingly emotional, so I don't mind it being nominated at all. I enjoyed War Horse immensely, and the final half hour was some of Spielberg's best work ever IMO. Yet, it still didn't quite make my list of favorite movies for the year in my article. I think it just starts a bit sluggish for me, but I'll definitely watch it again on Blu-Ray. The supporting cast was freakin' excellent, though.
