Just under $2m behind TA after the first full week. Thought it might be more given TA ANZAC Day opening.

Monday to Wednesday for both films were both regular work and school days except WA had a public holiday on Monday for AoU.

The Avengers: $3,458,014

Age of Ultron: $3,812,463

A chunk of that increase might be from WA but this might suggest legs won't be to far off TA.  Still, it will still make less overall.

Will be interesting how the 2nd weekend plays out.

TA made 8.2m. If AOU is at all going to catch up it needs to above that.

If AOU somehow matches the 38% drop of the first you get 9.7m. Yeah. Not seeing that kind of total given AOU had its sat boosted last weekend. I'm thinking 8m to 8.5m after those weekdays.

Could F7 finish ahead of AOU?

Well if AOU has further drops like that then 40m could be at risk. I think it will pass ff7 eventually but it's going to a lot closer than we all expected. And frankly ff7 now has a realistic shot of staying above AOU. as it stands. FF7 is ahead thanks to its weekdays. If AOU can't stay above 4.4m next weekend it could be in big trouble.

AOU is now further off the pace of the first film. Some 2.3m.

AoU has PP2 this weekend, Australia was the 2nd biggest market for PP with 25% of the overseas gross, and Fury Road the following weekend.

All FF7 had on it's 3rd weekend was Paul Blart 2.  The 4th weekend will be the interesting one.  Will AoU be over or under the $1,570,108 that FF7 made the weekend AoU opened?  It would have to be over $2m to have a chance at catching FF7.

What were the PP2 previews?  Wednesday night or the weekend?

I think it was just Wednesday night.  If so, we could be in for a huge weekend.  The screen average was higher then the average for FF7 previews with 50% more screens.

Is $10m possible?
