nice

that means Minions made the same in 3 days as it made on it's normal 4 day weekend (from last weekend :) )

As for IO ... it made more in the past 3 days than it did last weekend.  In fact it was bigger than it's opening weekend    Go Pixar!

Weekday totals (mon - wed)

1. Minions - 3.9m (after making 3.9m last weekend)

2. Inside Out - 3.5m (after making 3.2m last weekend)

3. JW - 2.7m

4. Ted 2 - 1.7m (wow what a drop off after a 4.2m OW )

Looking at these numbers now I'd say we are looking at:

1. Minions - 4.8m

2. JW - 4.5m (could be close)

3. Inside Out - 3.8m to 4.2m

4. Terminator - 3.0m to 4.0m based upon that OD.

5. Ted 2 (if it's lucky) - 2.3m

So minions & io heading for 4.5m to 5.5m over the weekend. I suspect JW is more of a weekend film so I won't be surprised if over the 4 days it's over 4m. Ted 2 could be lucky to make 2m with that Thursday #. Terminator is still targeting a 4m ow.

There's been no more on it, but lets assume the site gets demolished and the tower build. The proposal only covers part of the complex 505-523 George st the site is also on 525 George St (where Starbucks is and what houses now cinemas 1,2,10,11,12) 525 is on a separate title and ownership and doesn't not form part of the proposal for the site

The word is that this is not going to happen plus 525 George st is actually owned by AHL (Event parent Co.)

That top 3 will stay flat or fall 10-15% at most this week.

Fury Road has cleared the equivalent of $200m in the Domestic market.

Pitch Perfect 2 .. (for some reason we love it here) is closing in on the equivalent of 280m in the US Market.

And then looking JW it seems we are little the other way. 520m vs 41m......

JW should have better legs here so it will end up closer.

Still, given the location a tower will have to go up some day.
