L ho fatto solo per fare "incazzare" Omni, non l'ho visto il film quindi non posso giudicare. Di Aladdin non me ne frega una   fionda se va bene o male 

 

I did it just to "piss" Omni, I didn't see the movie so I can't judge. If Aladdin does well(bad)at the box office, I don't care.

Most movies with small increases.

John Wick back in the top 10 thanks to discount tickets.

 

Today it's Toy Story 4's turn. There aren't many informations about TS3's run, but I found that it opened on a Wednesday with 700K and grossed 3.2M over the 4-day (before 2012 the weekend was still a Fri-Sun frame, so the OW one can find on internet is 2.4M). 2/3 of its screens were 3D! It also had some great legs thanks to - it seems - some rains on its 3rd/4th weekend.

 

Since as usual there is no tracking and no presale info in Italy, I can only go by logic. I expect a 400K OD.

Pretty much nailed it.

The OD of Toy Story 4 is 60% of TS3's. The previous chapter had a weak Wed-to-weekend multiplier, so the loss could easily get lowered to 30%.

Nothing exciting, and with the worse ER and the likely worse legs the $ revenue will be cut in half, but at least it didn't fail like the other summer movies so far.

 

Pets 2 and Aladdin were hurt a little. The latter sold 2 tickets more than a much "younger" product, on its 6th Wednesday. Really amazing considering how this market works!

Dark Phoenix passed Green Lantern. I doubt it can pass First Class as well (2.75 vs 2.35) as those 400K will be really hard to find, but there's still a small chance.

Godzilla was hurt a lot. Another big drop assured this weekend.

It opens next Thursday.

Unfortunately Italy is a terribly provincial country - people rarely use presales to get tickets, and even when they do and the movie is an insanely anticipated uber-blockbuster (SW7, Endgame) there is no number available.

Anyways, Annabelle did 2.6M total and Annabelle 2 3.5M. Annabelle 3 should remain in that range thanks to some bad weather finally hitting Italy in 10 days or so.

Yesterday was the hottest day of the summer and by a wide margin (43°C perceived temperature near Venice). Movies got hurt by that and saw sharper declines than usual.

Toy Story 4 better recover and get at least around 450K today, or even a 2.5M OW will be a pipe dream.

Pets 2 is embarassing. Now behind Aladdin on both gross and admissions. Disastrous opening and weak legs - definitely one of the biggest failures of they year, and probably THE biggest.

The other openers did...ehm...not that well.
