i don't think godzilla's wom is toxic. it attracted a fan-base starving for 16 years with a huge amazing ow. it ended up being worth one watch. no repeat viewings and no conversions from non-believers is killing legs.

 

if dofp looks to fall 64%-66% with it's amazing wom, godzilla's drop with mixed wom and it's genre are understandable if not acceptable.

DOFP is dropping harder because it is coming off a holiday weekend. I bet anything it will stabilize better than Godzilla.

I saw CATWS twice opening weekend…  56% drop its second week.

 

I didn't go see Godzilla or DoFP opening weekend, and I have zero plans to see Godzilla and DoFP in theaters… drop is 60+%.

 

I AM THE BOX OFFICE KILLER!!

I think I need to stop tracking DOFP's box office progress so closely. It's making me depressed. Finally we get an awesome movie but it's not translating to the numbers. :(At least it's doing well overseas I guess.Hopefully the next installment will do better.
