Squaremaster316
I recently watched Little Shop of Horrors, both the original released and the alternate ending, and it got me thinking about audiences ability to change the direction of films and whether they were better for it or worse. For me, some of the changed endings that made the films worse would be the pre-mentioned Little Shop and Brazil, whereas other changes that were better would be Star Trek Generations. Yours? TServo2049
Ending change that hurt a film: The "happy" ending to Blade Runner.Ending change that helped a film: Terminator 2 was improved immensely by removing the syrupy "good future 2029" epilogue. Moviedweeb
It is cliché, but Psycho, Citizen Cane, The Empire Strikes Back, and even Seven, are the pinnacles of great endings imo (I'd say Usual Suspects possibly but I need to revisit it). Not a huge fan of Fight Club's or Primal Fears' although those are popular.
