I had this on my computer and after Paul Walkers Death I though it would be nice to re-watch this film.

 

 

My sister and parents loved and it by God this is sooo much better then Fast Six.

Holy shit. Basically after the first scene where they flip a bus, I knew I was getting into the Fast and Furious I wanted to touch. Gloriously cheesy with some really innovative action. The finale with the safe was ridiculously entertaining. It was great also seeing everyone back after watching the previous four. Walker and Diesel both shine as the leads, but there's not a single weak link in the cast. The Rock steals the show too. Just an overall extremely entertaining blockbuster. A

Fast Five finally takes the franchise to the insanity that defines it today. Really, it's hard to find any flaws here. All the characters are memorable and have fantastic chemistry with each other. The script gives every single one an important moment, never forgetting this is an ensemble piece. The addition of The Rock greatly adds to the fun in both action and suspense, as the audience knows he means business and will not let up for anything.

 

Walker and Diesel's relationship and the former's fatherhood worries add a solid emotional backbone for the story, and Lin's action is just incredible. The cinematic equivalent of kids playing with their Hot Wheels in the most insane ways imaginable, every action sequence is unforgettable, and the final setpiece is one that still is it yet to be topped in sheer creativity. Fast Five is one of the pinnacles of PG-13 action filmmaking, combining a truly lovable ensemble of badasses with sheer kinetic lunacy. A

Its rather funny how popular and well liked this film has become over time...

 

Looking back this is the highlight of the franchise easily and likely remain the best of the series. 

 

It had the good mix of the novelty of like an Avengers like gathering of characters with a half decent story and the thing that really sells the film well is the locale.

 

I think the problem with 6,7,8 is they go to all these places with no real purpose and apart from Dubai in Fast 7 nothing really else stood out.

This is likely one of the best mindless action blockbusters of the 2010s.
