I'm actually no longer sure GotG is going to reach $330M unless it gets a big bump from dollar theaters.  At first it blew past target after target, but once the wheels started coming off the last couple weeks, they came off fast. Probably a consequence of the October slate performing a lot stronger than most people expected (I certainly didn't expect this roster of movies to perform this well) and grabbing screens a *lot* more aggressively than the September movies did..

It'll make it. It hasn't even gotten a big dollar theater expansion yet, and it doesn't come out on video until December so it won't be like Frozen where Disney blew the home video load way too early. November will be a great month for dollar theater runs, with thanksgiving giving a good boost. $330 million is locked.

Actually, that brings up an interesting point. Frozen actually didn't have any shorter of a release window than GOTG will; both will hit home video about 4 months after release. Frozen was "too early" because they didn't delay it after the film had better legs than expected.
