UPDATE: Legendary and Universal’s The Great Wall sliced to a further $11.2m from its 20 territories for $182.6m to date.

Zhang Yimou’s epic action-fantasy, starring Matt Damon, landed top in Indonesia with an excellent $2m from 230 sites and also nabbed top spot in the likes of the UAE ($1.1m) and the Middle East ($924k).

It opens next weekend in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Cyprus and Poland.

Legendary and Universal’s The Great Wall took an estimated $5.6m from its 28 territories for $203.5m so far.

The fantasy epic opened top in Belgium with $178k from 43 sites and has reached $4.2m and $3.9m in France and Germany, respectively, after two weeks in play. It arrives in the Philippines next weekend.

Legendary and Universal’s The Great Wall added $3.4m from its 26 territories for $211.2m to date, including $170m from China.

The Philippines recorded a chart-topping $1.3m bow from its 175 sites, while France fell 45% with a $787k third weekend for $5.3m. It opens next weekend in Bulgaria, India, Latvia, Mexico, Netherlands, Ukraine and Vietnam.
