Sully posted an estimated $9.5m international bow from its 39 markets, including the key markets of Australia and Russia.

Australia provided a preview-boosted $2.3m from its 363 screens to chart second and exceeding all Clint Eastwood films, apart from American Sniper, while it recorded Eastwood’s biggest opening weekend in Russia with $925k from 882 screens

It topped the chart in the UAE with $929k from 61 screens and from its 148 IMAX screens overseas, Sullygrossed $1.1m for a global weekend of $5.1m which marks a new IMAX global record for a September 2D release.

Deadline - In its second weekend of release, Sully grossed an estimated $7m from its 44 territories for an early $23.4m. Hong Kong opened to a strong chart-topping $773k from its 46 screens ahead of local blockbuster S Storm, while it fell only 29% in Australia with a $1.4m second weekend for $4.7m. Worldwide, Sully took $3.1m from 529 IMAX locations for $10m. It opens in Japan next weekend.

 

Comscore reports a $93.9M WW total.

Sully took $6.6m from its 46 markets for $46.3m so far, debuting in South Korea with a preview-boosted $2.4m from 565 screens, marking Clint Eastwood’s best-ever debut in the market. Japan fell only 17% with a $1.9m second weekend for $6.8m.
