In addition to the GLC announcements this morning, it seems that Timothee Chalamet is playing an original character instead of Guy Gardner. His character is still a main character as well as one of the main antagonists being a Red Lantern Corps. Stanton says both Bex Taylor-Klaus’ performance as Sunn from The Scavenger Wars II and Olivia Cooke’s Xerrave are inspirations for this character.

The two have some similarities in Chalamet’s character. I’ll just leave it that and have you find out later.

Critic leaker YenSid, has found out some juicy details on the next trailers from Endless Entertainment. Reports says a Blue and Gold 2 Teaser is attached to Static Shock, Mario with Squirrel Girl and last but not least Tintin 2 with Spark: A Hero’s Promise. The trailer for the latter is expected sometime next week.

Chloe Zhao (The Rider) has replaced Jeremiah Zagar (We The Animals) as the director of the upcoming Rescuers reboot. He will, however, remain onboard the film as a screenwriter and producer for the film. Kelly Fremon Craig (The Edge of Seventeen, Notes From the Otherspace) has also signed on to co-write and produce the film.

 

In regards to casting, Eiza Gonzalez, Adam Driver, and Evan Rosado have joined the cast of the film, the former two are reportedly portraying the villains of the film. Isabelle Huppert, Jean Reno, Audrey Tatou, Xavier Dolan, Rhys Darby, Jonathan Pryce, and Hugh Jackman have joined the voice cast of the film, which already includes Lea Seydoux as Miss Bianca and Glen Powell as Bernard.

Found this guy on Spotify. He scored one of the Splinter Cell video games, though that was a while ago. This is a bit of a gamble.

 

Christopher Willis (Project: Pikmin; Past Work: The Death of Stalin)

I want to capture a subtle sense of frenzied aloofness with the Pikmin film, and I think this guy is the perfect one to do it. Not much dialogue in this film, so the score will have to do the heavy lifting.

A shot of Bert, the ship, moving slowly through empty space. Only the stars light up the exterior. Inside, an older Carmen wearing glasses (the one from the first scene in the trailer) stares out a window with a garden behind her.

Carmen’s Voyage is a brand new adventure coming from Blankments Productions and EssGeeKay Studios, with a killer cast and crew behind it! The film is written and directed by Adrian Molina (Coco), while being produced by Lee Unkrich (Island of the Blue Dolphins, Toy Story 3) and Darla K. Anderson (Monsters, Inc., upcoming Heart’s Song). As it is a musical, it has an all-star team behind its auditory elements. The film will be composed by John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon series, The Road to El Dorado) and Germaine Franco (Dope, upcoming Meet the Lumberjanes). It will feature several original songs. The music to these songs will be written by Franco and Stephen Flaherty (Anastasia, Seussical), while the lyrics will be written by Molina and Lynn Ahrens (Once on this Island, Ragtime). The film is aiming for a June Y6 release.
