Recommended Posts

So there are currently -

- 16 animated films

- 22 horror films

- 21 sci-fi films

- 9 films scheduled in the span of 11 days in December

If this schedule by some miracle comes to fruition doing the actuals will be a riot.:sparta:

Lol I can't wait.

As to the December thing I can guarantee Biker Mice from Mars isn't staying where it is unless Voltron 2 gets moved.

There's not much room for me to be flexible with Voltron (the 18-month gap is tight as is) so unless I'm forced to delay it it's staying where it is.

Oh I understand and I wasn't asking you to move it, heh. I'm just parking BMfM there in case you don't get to finish it. Otherwise I'll do early Y3.

I can help otherwise by offering you first look to the date of any movie I may be forced to move if you think you can be flexible.

Thanks but nah, my flex is pretty much only into Y3 because "the studio" wants to see how Extreme Dinosaurs does before they finalize this one, which'd give them a year. It's fine though, I really don't mind pushing it to early Y3 (and to be fair it might actually do better then anyway).

Ok, these are the two films I am aiming for. Luckily one is essentially done if I remember to make a few edits. Anything else I manage to get in place will be a bonus and I will just drop in wherever available.

Pillars of Eternity: The Hollow Vale (Fantasy) (dir. Miguel Sapochnik) - February 9th

Pokemon: The Journey Begins (Family/Fantasy/Adventure) (dir. Shawn Levy) - August 10th

That's why I stuck Pokemon in mid-August, has a nice relatively clear run with no direct competition for a good while (I expect My Side of the Mountain to do fine, but not be a threat)

Not sure if it's logistically possible, but part of me wants to have Parvelli expand and go wide in January Y3.

You technically could but then its box office gross would have to be exempt from any outside influence (i.e @Hiccup23 would have no say in it).

Alright, time to make some changes.

  • I'm going to bump Computer Love to summer of Year 3 (it's going to be a bigger project so I need a bigger timeframe). I'm moving The Dolphin Whisperer to December 21st then, so even though December remains crowded, it's a much smaller film.
  • Because the schedule definitely needs more horror films, I'm releasing The Basilisk (Sci-Fi / Psychological Horror, dir. Jonathan Glazer) on April 6th.
