DavidBrennan
So AOV estimates went from over $30m, to below 25 :/Right. I called this, and expect it to be still lower on the Monday finals. This has happened several times recently - most memorably (for me, anyway) here with AoV and TPM: super-high estimates, everybody starts in with their "Great for AoV! USA USA!", or "This proves TPM is a beloved American classic!" and then it turns out that it was highly exaggerated. Anyway, I'm wondering when people are going to catch onto the fact that they paid for this movie twice: with their tax dollars, and their tickets. And this is one movie that you had no choice but to pay for, whether you liked it or not. Yay, U.S.A. government!

tonytr87
What's up with Wanderlust's number? 2.5 Fri and 3.0 Sat means 5.5 before Sunday. So it's going to make only 0.3 on Sun?

lab276
But it's 194.8, not 229.3. No year is up that much yet through Feb 24.

Incepted
Even though AOV has dropped 5m from early estimates, if someone said to me at the start of the year it'd make 25m in its entire run I'd have though they were insane. It just seemed like a throwaway movie.
lab276
Also, 2012 is 29.9m tickets ahead, not 34.1m.
