lilmac Posted January 2, 2018 Share Posted January 2, 2018 (edited) Part of the appeal for me of seeing new Star Wars movies on the first weekend is watching it with likeminded fanboys. The charged anticipation. The woots and hollers. Recently, my local theaters changed to luxury recliners with stadium seating so now it’s hard to see anyone outside of your row, taking away from that 1st weekend experience. I am too closed off. It’s almost like being in a home theater. Fortunately this only matters for the franchises I am most passionate about. Doesn’t bother me otherwise. So glad all of the theater chains are going the luxury and reserved seats route - even my local Landmark has luxury seats now, and all theaters now serve beer and wine. Booya.
