Ezen Baklattan
Can we compromise and say it was a hard-PG? More importantly, we must stand together and embrace the novella known as The Scavenger Wars. Let’s do this.

Xillix
JULY PART I - "SCAVENGING FOR MOVIES THAT ARE SHORT ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY READ" EDITION Howling Commandos "The dialogue is bad, the characters are one-dimensional, the tone is inconsistent, the villain's plot is dubiously handled, and the whole thing comes across more like a cartoon for little kids than a summer blockbuster - with the exception, naturally, of the big-budget, sometimes-fun action scenes. I really wanted to like a movie with a biker werewolf saving the day, but sadly, he and his whole team are given the short shrift here." Island of the Blue Dolphins "Visually beautiful but somewhat sloppily-written, Island of the Blue Dophins is filled with so much tragedy that the ultimate resolution feels, frankly, dishonest. It also makes it a pretty poor choice for kids and families, despite the PG rating. It's certainly not without merit, especially on a technical level, but it never really comes together the way it should." The Great Inferno "There's some decent disaster porn here, hamstrung a bit by the low budget, but it's hard to overlook the fact that there's essentially no plot and no characters. That's a bit more forgivable in this type of flick than, say, a message drama, though." Inversion "Begins with a fascinating concept but never really digs into it, to the point it sort of falls apart if you stop to think about it for a bit. The ending, especially, feels cheesy and nonsensical. Also, for what it's worth, the sun and moon show up in the sky together during the day all the damn time." Gentle Ben "Another by-the-numbers 'inspiring animal movie,' at once more generic and more comfortable with itself than Finding Gobi. In any case it's a better bet for a family movie night than Blue Dolphins if you don't want to pay for several years' worth of child therapy."

Ezen Baklattan
Inversion was a premise I probably regret not saving for a bigger effort and not just a filler I'd knock out in about a half hour.

YM!
If there's one thing I learned from this, I tend to do better when focusing on the smaller picture (My Peoples, Stitch, Bandicoot) instead of the end goal, (Bionicle, Conductive and now HC) something I needed to learn for Connor's Legacy. So in a way, thank you @Xillix. Edited April 25, 2018 by YourMother the Edgelord
Xillix
@cookie I'm proooooobably not going to read The Scavenger Wars til the end. I feel like I'm gonna be kind of drained after that, hah.

Or maybe it was about the same, idk.

Xillix
@YourMother the Edgelord So you start Miraculous once again by naming a character, having him talk and stuff happen to him... without ever explaining who or what he is. Please please PLEASE make sure not to write adaptations that assume people are familiar with the source material already. You should act like it's a new thing no one's ever heard of.
