'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Inclusive Reboot in the Works With Joss Whedon

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is getting the reboot treatment.

20th Century Fox Television, who produced the original Joss Whedon drama, have put a new take on the beloved Sarah Michelle Gellar drama in development. Writer Monica Breen, who worked with Whedon on ABC's Agents of SHIELD, has been hired to pen the adaptation and serve as showrunner on the reboot.

Whedon will be an exec producer on the series and has been working with Breen on the script, which features a black actress stepping into the role of Buffy made famous by Gellar.

I’m fine with this.

Fuck the Kuzui’s.

The Kuzui's have never had a real creative role in the TV show. Their Executive Producer Credit on the show was strictly due to a contractual obligation coming their having produced the film. Whedon made sure they had nothing to due with the TV show beyond that. it's no secret he hated what they did with his script for the movie.

Some of them definitely need the work.

Alyson Hannigan and David Boreanaz have done quite well for themselves post Buffy (both had long running hit TV shows "How I Met Your Mother" for Hannigan and "Bones" for Boreanaz) but Sarah Michelle Geller in particular have not been very successful post Buffy.

Just checked total worth, and both Hannigan and Boreanaz have a total worth of 30 Million ,and Gellar is worth 20 Millon. I don't think any of the Buffy stars need to worry about starving...those residuals will set you up quite nicely for life if you don't have a really extravagant life style...but Willow and Angel are the ones who have found Post Buffy success.

And I enjoy Hannigan's current gig as the co host for Penn and Teller's "Fool Us" show.
