And before this inevitably becomes a shitshow of a thread, here's some rules:

You are allowed to talk about your opinion of this film, its marketing, its content, its box office, and even Michael Moore, whether positive or negative. But keep your posts down to a minimum, and make sure you stay on topic.

If you want to talk about the current presidential administration, politics, liberals, conservatives, or any other big picture stuff, we have an entire forum section dedicated to politics:

https://forums.boxofficetheory.com/forum/58-politics/

We also have threads dedicated to US politics if you want to talk about something broad about America as a whole.

Also, please be respectful about political views unless it is necessary to call out. Racism, sexism, and the like can not and should not be tolerated, so if you see it, please hit the "Report" button as soon as possible, and the mods will take care of it. Otherwise, either politely debate or ignore.

So yeah, don't be stupid.

Looks interesting, if one-sided. I'm sure I've mentioned my political standpoint more than once, and without going into that a lot, I will probably like this movie. Looks miles better than DOAN, as it actually looks like a doc rather than simply a propaganda piece.

Gonna stir up a lot of controversy though if it does well. But that's of course to be expected.

Make no mistake this is a propaganda piece for the socialist left. Moore + Hoag = slanted half truths at best.

DOAN and this are just two sides of a coin and to pretend otherwise is disingenuous.

Yeah, both are propaganda/junk.

But, to his credit, Moore was saying for a long time to watch Michigan and Trump had a real chance there.

I agree;except that Moore is a better filmmaker then De Souza.

I despise Donald Trump but I will not go see this; knowing Moore, he will ignore the many things you can actually Nail Trump for in favor of cheap shots

And It is possible to NOT be amember of a Socialist Left and dislike Trump.

Not sure you can stir up much more controversy about Trump then has already been stirred up........

I might argue it is going to be hard for Moore to make Trump look worse then Trump has with his tweets.

This looks... really unfocused, to say the least. It feels like the trailer is racing breathlessly to cram in glimpses of all the resistance's greatest hits from the last 18 months. I could see it finding a small audience if the marketing is there, but the political commentary landscape has shifted so much since Fahrenheit 9/11's mid-2000s breakout that I'm surprised Moore is still taking his work to theaters rather than trying to reach a wider audience through streaming. It would catch far more eyeballs on Netflix, methinks.

Although the parkland stuff seems a little out of place, its a great trailer, laughed pretty hard a few times.  Moore was one of the very very few outside the MSM/social media bubble that actually understood how Trump could and would likely win.  Given what he was saying back in 2015-2016(a lot of which was on the money), I doubt it will just be an establishment-like propaganda piece on how Nazis took over America thanks to Russia so I'll check it out.
