IndustriousAngel
I actually liked King's Speech very much, on the big screen and we've seen it thrice on BD in the meantime. It's not as funny as Intouchables but a very good film nontheless. The films even have rather similar themes - two outsiders (one socially, one bodily challenged) buiding self-confidence through their relationship. Rudolf
Intouchables has ended its run in the the top10 of the Netherlands after 28 weeks.According to insidekino it stands at €8.983.560 there (BOM has it at $4,570,372) Edited October 8, 2012 by Rudolf
peludo
BOM has updated Spanish Intouchables' total. Last week it was at 20.5 million. Now it stands at 23,629,929 $. I suppose the change is because of higher Euro exchange rate, but I think 3 million it is a too high change. Euro has not appreciated so much since Intouchables release to get that number. With this total (the movie is still in theaters) I see quite difficult Tadeo Jones can beat it as highest grosser of the year. Rudolf
BTW in gross Intouchables is No9 in Germany since 1968, only behind Titanic, Avatar, Junglebook, 3LotR, first HP and a German spoof-movie. IndustriousAngel
Intouchables has finished its run in Germany after 41 weeks, many of which were spent on top. While this is sad news, the good news is that the admissions from open air screenings seem to have been missing until now; insidekino has updated the numbers and Germany's admissions are now a whopping 8.731.753 which enabled Intouchables to overtake not only "Finding Nemo" on the all-time chart, now it's also in front of "Dirty Dancing" and "Ice Age 3", nr. 22 on Germany's all-time chart since 1968. YEAH!

Rudolf
Wow!What is up with Jungle Book's insane amount of admissions?Jungle Book(1968) had the advantage to come in an era after the WirtschaftsWunder(=economic development after the war) and before the age of television fully began in Germany in the 70s.Also the movies with most admissions are in the 50s. German Heimatfilme(imagine Westerns but playing in the Alps) had even higher admissions, but data are missing.
