Mayhem2x3
Pixar going through some growing pains the last few years, that's all.
kayumanggi
The market is oversaturated with computer animated movies. Pixar always survives.
forg
Shrek the Third grossing 120m more than Ratatouille is still a travesty to me.Well it was expected anyway. I'm already pleased with Ratatouille's performance and legs. The concept is such a tough sell
Letsuseournoggin
When you take a step back and really look at Pixar's performance in the domestic mark, especially, it's so damn impressive. How many animated movies come out a year and how many of them fail to hit 150m? 100m? Most of them do when you factor in the forgotten performances like Monster House, Gnomeo and Juliet, most Christmas fare, etc. Nothing against those films, but for Pixar to have a string of films that all were big hits is truly remarkable. Even Cars II won the year before that one is labeled a failure.
bryan
Shrek the Third grossing 120m more than Ratatouille is still a travesty to me.Sucks, but Ratatouille sold more DVDs than it11.8 vs. 12.
kayumanggi
I'm still waiting for that Pixar film that will dethrone RATATOUILLE as my favorite Pixar film.
AniNate
Andrew Stanton post-John Carter profile which pretty much confirms a Nemo sequelhttp://www.latimes.com/entertainment/movies/moviesnow/la-et-mn-john-carter-director-20120908,0,1996908.story
DAR
With the exception of one film they have a pretty good track record with sequels. Do I want more original films from them sure, but we're still going to get them.

DAR
Pixar going through some growing pains the last few years, that's all.I still think it some of that has to do with their duties are more spread out. They just don't have one film to focus on. Stanton did Carter, Bird had MI:GP, Lasseter has his VP duties for the animation dept not to mention the Parks. Docter also has some creative input into the Parks. I think only Unkrich might be the one who's focused on exclusively Pixar projects.I just finished a biography about Walt Disney and the same thing happened once he stepped away from focusing only on animation and instead took interest in television, Disneyland and the 1964 World's Fair.
