Snow White and the Huntsman comes out in June and it is looking very likely to breakout. Universal is doing an excellent job marketing it and they have stated that it is the first in a planned trilogy.Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart are confirmed to return for a sequel.

Possible release date:December 2013 - I doubt this since The Hobbit will control that whole month.March 2014 - March is beginning to look very much like a summer monthJune 2014 - Good option, 2 years laterDecember 2014 - If Avatar doesn't make its planned Dec 2014 release date, Snow White could fill the void somewhat.

They got Dr. Seuss, JP, Battleship, Fast, Animation, Wheel of Time and Bourne. Some are ongoing and some need to start and some have potential to be franchises. Why in a hurry, by Summer/Christmas 2014/Early 2015 would be fine.

I think that would be perfect, especially if Avatar 2 gets pushed back. This feels like more of a holiday franchise anyway.
