BOT's Greatest Directors Poll | 2019 Edition

It's time to resurrect what was once a rather popular poll - to decide who BOT believes to be the Greatest Director of All Time!

This list has been done once before, as you can see here. However, the demographic of the site has changed significantly since then*.

The rules are simple - submit your list to me via PM by August 18th 2019. The results will be tallied and the countdown will begin.

Rules

- Use whatever criterion you prefer to rank the directors you submit.

- Ranking is simple - everyone is given 100 points to distribute among as many directors as they wish - with a max of 50 points to a single director (and a lower bound of 10 directors is required to be eligible).

(This method was picked as it allows you to have many directors and perhaps two favorites in whatever combination you like).

For example a list might be:

1. Stanley Kubrick 20

2. Akira Kurosawa 15

3. Andrei Tarkovsky 12

4. Steven Spielberg 11

5. David Fincher 11

6. Alfred Hitchcock 10

7. James Cameron 9

8. Ingmar Bergman 4

9.  John Ford 4

10. Ridley Scott

etc...

- Tiebreakers will be decided by who received more votes, and then if still a tie who has the highest box office gross (highly unlikely this will be required).

Any questions, please ask in the thread - and feel free to post your list with comments regarding who you voted for and why.

*If you take a look at the thread posted by Luna, many of those who voted in 2014 no longer frequent the site - many new users have also joined in the resulting 5 years.

One of my personal favorites. MoM is a masterpiece.

To be honest, I've dreamt about an Alita directed by Bong Joon-Ho. No offense to Robert Rodriguez but yeah, Cameron collaborating with Joon-ho, that's a potent mix.
