Jonwo
Late night business has been so impressive for this. 00:30 Stratford Vue is almost sold out. That just doesn't happen. Very eager for some numbers.I know we've discussed this before but is surprises me that there is an audience for a screening after midnight especially as it won't finish until 3am. Guess its limited to just Friday and Saturday rather than every day.
RthDeadWov
An incredible start! Fast Five made £5.3m in 4 days. Fast 6 just made £3m on its opening day. And over 3.4m for sat , Stid down about 45%, Im3 -55%, TGG total with Thu over 3m with that it will probably come in #2 for weekend then STid then IM3
A Marvel Fanboy
Only 0.4M increase for FF6 on Sat ?
Olive
9M + Gbp is impressive.
A Marvel Fanboy
Hoped for 10M ...
theultimatebiu
Only 0.4M increase for FF6 on Sat ?It is impressive as it has no 3d no IMAX and is playing at a limited amount of cinemas competing against Star Trek, gatsby and iron man 3. It's a huge OW.
Heretic
Great number. There's only so much it can do with no 3D, no Imax, and the number of showtimes it has. They pretty much sold out all day so you can't really expect much more. This is doing amazing.
Heretic
Sounds good for Gatsby too, should get around £4m for its opening. Holdovers are doing decently in the face of 2 big openers.
theultimatebiu
Hoped for 10M ... Its more than ST and that had 4 days and 3D and IMAX. Plus, its very close to IM3 numbers and that also had 3D and IMAX.
Heretic
This is by far the most impressive opening of the year. If it had 3d, Imax, a 4 day opening like Trek and IM and more showtimes like they did, this would have matched, or even topped IM3's opening. I'd say this was running at around 60-70% of the number of showtimes IM3 had, which makes it more impressive.
Heretic
So looking like a 3 day opening around $13.5-14m. Fast Five opened to $8.8m 4 day, and managed a gross of $30.2m. If FF6 followed the same trend, it'd end up somewhere in the $45-50m range. Competition is quite fierce, so anything over $40m would be excellent. A Marvel Fanboy
I need it at least 50% increase from FF5 ...
Jonwo
£9m+ is still impressive, legs should be good, I think £30-35m total would be great, next week should be busy with Hangover and Epic, speaking if which, how are the previews performing? theultimatebiu
FAST & FURIOUS 6 opened its overseas release with a $13.8M opening weekend in the UK. #1 film in the UK market. #Fast6 https://twitter.com/...140263741341697

JCS
IM3 at $52.1M or £33.9M now.
JCS
Great start for FF6, unexpected.
A Marvel Fanboy
So +56% from FF5. If everywhere else follows UK, it will do 626M X1.56 = 980M WW. So damn close ...
JCS
FF6 with only 10% smaller debut than IM3 debut.
Heretic
Pretty amazing opening. I just realised there's another bank holiday coming up next weekend, and it's also the start of half term, so it should be a massive weekend. Fast 6 could drop sub 50%. That week holiday is going to be particularly strong.
