fmpro
What does that mean for this upcoming weekends gross? We could see big increase on fri/sat due to no competion. I hope for a 47% drop from the fri-sun gross last weekend
Heretic
The weather is reaaaaalllly good today, hopefully that doesn't mute grosses.
SchumacherFTW
Next weekend looks even better in london. I've seen a forecast go as high as 24 degrees next saturday! Trek could be hit by the weather if it stays as forecast at the moment.
Heretic
After the absolutely shitty, appalling, disgustingly long winter, we deserve a bit of sun and warmth.

History says that good weather always has an effect on BO in the EU market´s. But hopefully its just a little effect

SchumacherFTW
After the absolutely shitty, appalling, disgustingly long winter, we deserve a bit of sun and warmth. It was a pretty shitty winter. The absolutely wrong time to start cycling everywhere
Jonwo
Still think Star Trek is gong to have a great weekend, although £10m may be unlikely if the weather continues to be great,
htall90
The winter was dreaful the worst in years maya looking hot so far bad for movies people would rather be outside obviously!
Jonwo
Its a good thing there is not much out this weekend, and hot weather does affect box office but many films bounce back with better weekdays and legs e.g Men in Black
Heretic
Apart from a few shows, STID is pretty much sold out the entire opening weekend at the BFI IMAX.
SchumacherFTW
My midday show for the saturday sold out last week, i'm so freaking excited. My girlfriend isn't too fussed though. Still, she's putting up with my IMAX adoration so i'm pretty lucky.

The Dark Alfred
Considering that IM3 is one of the worst Marvel films ever, the WoM isn't that toxic. It's heading to the expected £35-37m territory, but I think Star Trek will beat it and will come short of Les Mis as well. Friday is 52% down from last week, decent. 21 and Over flopped, Oblivion reached £10m.
Heretic
That's pretty good considering the weather today, what would that be approximately in £'s? I'm not sure if Trek's beating it anymore, but they'll probably both end up within a few million of eachother.
Jonwo
I think Star Trek will be £30m+ total the reviews have been great and I think audiences will respond to it. Fast and Furious 6 will likely be number 1 the week after unless ST has a great drop which will be tricky. The Great Gatsby is difficult to predict, it won't be number 1 but I think it'll pull in a decent four day opening,
SchumacherFTW
I love football today, i've sold all the beer on my trolley on the way up to London before even getting to Orpington. Anyone know if the BFI's IMAX has been covered in Trek at all?
JCS
21 & Over is awful, flop hard please.
SchumacherFTW
21 & Over is awful, flop hard please. Remember when shawn had that pegged as a breakout in Jan? Good times.
Heretic
Looking busy this afternoon, it's probably going to have a massive increase from Friday. It's bank holiday weekend, so it'll probably stay relatively flat on Sunday and Monday.
