Well, I guess I was a bit off on positions and numbers, but that really doesn't bode well for John Carter. The Devil Inside appears to be the big one this weekend, plenty of double screens in some of the bigger cinemas. Contraband and 21 Jump Street seem pretty wide too, 21 Jump Street seems to have less shows than I was expecting, it always appeared to be carrying the most hype, and by far the best reviews too.

My preffered chain Cineworld, have announced that this year they will allow pre-booking for unlimited card holders, and have abolished booking fees with immediate effect. AND are giving a 10% for all tickets booked online from now as well. Odeon and Vue need to step up their game pretty sharpish. That said, a price war is always good for us, the consumer ;-)

I hope 21 Jump Street does well, the reviews have been very good, think The Devil Inside will be number 1 but it'll collapse next week with The Hunger Games. They're releasing promoting The Pirates! with David Tennant on The One Show, Hugh Grant on Graham Norton. I think it'll open bigger than Arthur Christmas but I'm unsure whether it'll overtake Wrath of the Titans although I imagine it'll make more money on Easter weekdays.
