Avatar 2 NT$5.32M (-63.4%) Total of NT$555M 2. Someday or One day NT$ 2.20M (-58.0%) 3. PiB:TLW NT$ 286K (-79.7%) 4. Shotgun Wedding NT$ 257K (-53.4%) in the first four weeks, Avatar 2 grossed almost NT$150M more than TGM did. However, for Avatar2, winter break and Chinese new year holidays will end in about a month, while summer vacation just started by the 5th week of TGM. Avatar 2 isn't the lighting in the bottle event that was the original Avatar, and so I don't see it catch up TGM. teard1972 Posted January 11, 2023 Share Posted January 11, 2023 1/10 (Tue) Avatartwo NT$ 4.7M (-11.6%) / 559M from 1/13 on, Slam Dunk and Avatartwo will share the Imax showtime. some theaters will give Slam Dunk more, some will even them out. from 12/14 to 1/2 (the last day of New Year long weekend), Avatartwo grossed NT$490M, now its total stands at 559M. the pace is slowing down, and unless it explodes again during Chinese New Year period, TGM will stay as 2022 BO champion. also of note for 2022: JWD grossed "only" NT$334M, ending sorta "uglily" for the new trilogy. JW NT$827M; Fallen Kingdom NT$621M; Jurassic Park NT$460M; Lost World NT$430M (personally very glad), Taiwan is not quite the Marvel colony as before. M3GAN NT$ 784K Taiwan BO is roughly 3 to 4 times of Taipei gross, depending on whether a movie is more appealing to Taipei audience.
