Disney overspends on everything. Indiana Jones 5 cost 300 million +. Fucking She Hulk cost 225 million. But I am sure this movie, which is basically being shot twice, will have a normal, modest budget

It is not being shot twice. You don't have any evidence for any of your batsuit ludicrous claims. Put up or shut up.

Or just a very very very very very very very very very large song licensing budget (if 2016's Suicide Squad gives us anything to go by)

That soundtrack was fucking insane, why did they bank on that so hard? Wa sit just because Guardians soundtrack went good?

Reshoots are May through August (unsure if it’s the intended Spring shoot or if additional, thinks it’s probably the spring shoot moved around). Guessing that, a substantial amount is getting reshot but tbh what’s important is a good movie comes out of this as Sam will likely have a key role in the MCU onward and they want to get this right. It’s probably much better for the MCU in the long run for this to overbudget and be well acclaimed vs rushing it and adding another mediocre project to this coming May like what was originally the plan (tbh they shouldn’t have done filming when the strikes were about to start like Thunderbolts).

I do wonder if they remove Sabra. I imagine the character will be heavily edited from the comics and given a new name but the fandom on Twitter seems adamant on boycotting it because of Sabra.

Better look at the new suit

Like the suit overall but preferred the FaTWS suit, has a bit too much blue and I miss the helmet.

I didn't hate it but the cowl kept bulging out during filming so they needed CGI to remove it so I get why they went back to just the goggles.

Couldn’t they make a practical cowl?

Oh the cowl is practical, but it isn't as smooth as it is in the final episode. They had to CGI it so it didn't poke out. The bit around the cheek conspicuously juts out from the mouth.

The gif here shows it a bit more clearly:

Who knew the guy who made the bad third Cloverfield fumbled the ball?

Honestly think they’ll retool it to a pseudo Avengers flick. They’ll bring in Bruce, Jen and maybe Shang-Chi as those who help Sam fight The Leader and Red Hulk. Guessing Feige’s gambit is that Levy and Reynolds deliver the NWH nostalgia piece that Deadpool will be is enough to get the nerds to start creaming over them again and in conjunction with a strong Comic-Con presence, will hopefully carry out the goodwill into 2025. That said, think they shouldn’t be doing 4 films that year especially with content glut.

Variety is saying he misspoke and isn't in the film.

...Which they were likely told to say by Marvel/Disney to keep the lid on this.  He probably shows up in the third act/finale to help take on the Leader, Red Hulk, etc.  It would truly be *really* bizarre to finally feature The Leader in a Marvel movie and *not* have the Hulk show up, at some point.  Then again, Lucasfilm somehow didn't see fit to unite the original Star Wars cast on screen in any of those three films, so...

Kathleen Kennedy/Lucasfilm approves or more regularly seems to disapprove of every major decision that Star Wars filmmakers make, so no, this is all on Lucasfilm/and yes, Disney brass for somehow neglecting to achieve one of the most, if not THE most obvious reunion in popular film history...when they had all the actors attached and finally ready and willing.
