i don't get you, guys, that's exactly how anime looks (from Japan).... *shrugs*

And people are pinting out:
A. In the  West, Anime is a niche audience and

B. Anime style might not fit Tolkein's universe very well.

I think we need to seperate LOTR fans..fans ot the Jackson movies..from Tolkien fans..fans of the actual books. I can guarantee that lot of Tolkien fans will not show up for this.

A lot of them..and I include myself among them...just have a real problem in spinoffs based very loosley on a couple of sentences in Tolkien books. You do not treat a major work of literature like a comic book franchise.

was interested in checking out the "The Great Tales of Middle-earth" "trilogy"

if you've read them, are they deserving of the "great" moniker?

I don't do fan fic, period.

Particular for the works of Tolkien.

Tolkien was a great writer. The people who do fan fic ,95% of the time..and I might be generous there...are not.

I suspect this Tales of Middle earth is laregly hack fantasy set in Middle Earth. Not interested. My time is limited, I will spend it on the good stuff.

I haven't read this more finished/edited version of several of Tolkien's Unfinished Tales but I did read the original versions and they are indeed great.  If you haven't read it I also can not highly recommend The Simillarion enough.
