I wish these films were better but they're perfectly serviceable matinee 3 star dad films, taking my own this weekend to see it probably. He is hyped.

Boring film that has to be kept afloat by Denzel sounds exactly like every other equalizer film so...to no one's surprise I guess?

This is about on par with the others. Often excessive mediocrity with a rather sluggish pace that Denzel has to carry on his own. The script really struggles to progress any kind of story for most of it, but I'm glad Denzel got to chill at a café/restaurant no less than half a dozen times in the first half alone, and probably about 8 times overall.

Reviews seem solid and also worth noting that season 4 o f The Equalizer was just renewed.

She's good in it, but feels wasted and her entire subplot is the dullest aspect of the movie.

On par what I saw too. Not gonna won any Oscars but guaranteed good times. Denzel does his Steven Seagalesque moves but with real charisma and style while baddies die.
