The way to go if they were really going to get nostalgia out of it again was make them college/adult age like the kids who grew up with the first few in the franchise are now. By that logic, Inside Out 2 shouldn't have a nostalgia boost as well considering the kids who were 11 in 2015 like Riley will be college goers now and she'll just be turning 13 in the sequel. Yeah gotta admit, trailers like that one will play gangbusters to kids. Isn’t Riley already a teen in 1? Teen to adult is not the same kind of nostalgia boost as kid to adult for these sorts of things. I also was not particularly impressed by this trailer. Other than the addition of the baby, the plot seems to be just re-treading the same ground as the previous films. Illumination's formula has been very successful, so I suppose this was expected. And I'm obviously not the target audience for it, but all the Minion gags fell flat for me too.
