3 foreign comedies in the top 5. that is not what one would expect.

Right now it is number 6 in top 250 by grades on our most popular movie site. People love it but piracy is killing everything. And our distributor apparently has no idea what to do with this film. Russian people like action fantasy, animation, comedies...Still there is a hope.

Intouchables is coming, it could be a success, but it has problems : a real competition (Battleship,Titanic, American Reunion..other movies the same day), not many screens, it arrives 1 week before The Avengers (so, weak legs),bad advertising (horrible poster, sincerely) and piracy.Intouchables won't be a flop, but it won't be a success too (it can't perform well all around the world, after all).And I think Intouchables will be passed by The Hangover 3 OS next year.

Next weekend will be kinda funny. Saturday will be a working day and from Sunday tiil Tuesday three days are holidays. Some movies can make on Monday and Tuesday more than in entire 4day weekend.

These holidays have been given by Putin to celebrate his comeback as President right?

1st May is always a National Holiday. This year it fell on Tuesday. So Saturday is a working day instead of Monday to get people three straight holidays in a row. Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday would be kind of inconvenient. It's a usual practice here. After that again Saturday, May 5th, is also a working day. And 4 days are holidays from May, 6 (Sunday) till May, 9 (Wednesday).May, 9, is a Victory Day. Still the most celebrated holiday here. So don't expect fresh box office reports on next two weeks. But box office grosses should be huge.

Spider-Man was the most popular comic book character and still managed only about 2.8 mln admissions.

SM3 was in 2007.Now the capacity of film market is much large than 2007.
