Just got back from the NA premiere. Quite enjoyed this, just short of loving it. Tackles a lot of really fascinating and thought provoking ideas and concepts…but maybe too many? By the end it’s juggling so many concepts that many threads are left underbaked by the end.  Would’ve made a great miniseries, there was certainly enough there in the world building to sustain it.
Also Viggo and Kristen Stewart are totally unhinged in this in the best way possible.
Very solid 7/10 for me.

Very solid 7/10 though more interesting than enjoyable at times. Surprised by the "walkouts",  nothing particularily bad here, as the movie seems more interested in its ideas than shocking the audience. Only the foot and the trash-can eating scenes (I imagined me trying to disget one) got reactions out of me. Big fan of the "energy" and tone shown in Viggos first performance and in the ear-man scene, dissapointed about not seeing more of that energy as the 2nd half really needed it.  Surprised by how much seemingly imporant information I failed to pick up on as I was watching, and only really "got" in the post movie reflection.  Was hooked all the way through, but all the emphasis it puts in its admitedly interesting ideas leaves little room for engaging plot developments and it doesnt have enough "energy" to completely overcome that lack. A very interesting 7/10 that could have been much better with more style and maybe another half an hour.
