With Gillman on the 30th, Disney should really consider moving this to July as June seems too much for Elemental to handle.

Won't be a factor. Elemental will have have been out for 2 weeks by the time Ruby Gillman is out. If it's good, it they can coexist. If word of mouth is poor, it'll have collapsed by June 30.

The concern is more so an animation logjam in addition to big tentpoles in the vicinity. Tbh I don't get why Gillman isn't on 7/7, an Illumination hot spot but fourth of July power is powerful.

The Flash will get premium screens over Elemental. Indy 5 is getting them over Gillman.

well it's now they should not move unless the movie is a sh1t show ! they should not move after universal announced the date ! that's embarrassing for the entire company ! universal is just dumping gillman to tease disney's situation !if elementals fails against that movie in both commercial and critical then they r back to the time b4 Renaissance

I keep thinking that all of this non-promotion means they're seriously considering moving it and are changing the materials to reflect the new date.

Well they just released the Japanese trailer (no new footage) with an August 4 release date, so if it is being delayed probably won't be that much further

Pixar movies are almost always released late in Japan. But let's see if they'll delay this.
