I was at a sold out IMAX showing this evening and the audience was very invested, cheering at certain parts and applauded at the end. Not sure how people found it boring to be honest.

On one hand, I’ve heard a lot of anecdotes of crowds loving JWD, but on the other the RT scores were making me believe this would be a B or B+, glad I was wrong.

IMDB isn't a sampling metric meant to limit confounding variables. Anyone can post there and there isn't any systemic method to who gets sampled to make sure there's equal distribution across demographics and regions

Imdb is usually a fan reviewer driven site anyway. It would make sense they would be more critical.
