Arlborn
BvS's whole opening weekend was R$ 45M(local currency) with 2 633 734 admissions, apparently. AOU's OW was R$ 37,1M. Edit: That was wrong numbers, corrected. Edited April 29, 2016 by Arlborn

Those shiny vampires had 3.1m admissions for their last flick over here. Biggest recorded OW admissions in Brazil, apparently. http://cinema.uol.com.br/noticias/redacao/2012/11/19/amanhecer---parte-2-leva-tres-milhoes-de-brasileiros-aos-cinemas-em-quatro-dias-de-exibicao.htm http://cinepop.com.br/os-vingadores-2-tem-a-segunda-maior-estreia-da-historia-do-brasil-94193 Just saying. Regarding BvS vs CW, I don't know about OD but BvS's OW( 2 663 000 admisions) was the second biggest in Brazil if you go by admissions(which, to be fair, is the best way to count it) but it has actually grossed more than Breaking Dawn p2( R$ 37,3m ) with numbers between R$43M and R$45M(yes, reporting of the actual number is a bit contradicting), so let's see what Civil War does this weekend, should be fun to see what happens. As a side note, I'm watching it this Sunday myself. Edited April 29, 2016 by Arlborn
Napoleon
Watched Batman v Superman one last time today. I'm shocked at how the 2 and a half hours pass like it was 1 hour Now I'm officially over watching it in cinemas, my body is in need of the Extended cut and I'll wait for it gracefully

Arlborn
https://omelete.uol.com.br/bilheteria-brasil/ Well, apparently, without previews, Civil War did R$ 44,047 m while BvS's OW(without previews as well) was R$ 40,592 m. Admissions were very close though. 2.726.000 for Civil War and 2.663.000 for BvS. For more comparisons, as it's been pointed out earlier, AoU had 2.618.068 admissions. I guess Breaking Dawn p2 is still Brazil's highest OW when it comes to admissions then. Edited May 2, 2016 by Arlborn

Napoleon
Actually, it's very positive that both films over-performed here in Brazil considering everything that's happening in our country. And even thought Civil War made more money than BVS, it was still an incredible result for BVS. I don't think anyone expected it to perform in line with Marvel top movies. The reason I'm absent from this thread is because of Raphael's absence. It's more fun for me when my friend is around.

This is not your personal chat thread. If things get derailed again like they've been the last several weeks (months?), the staff will consider suspensions for you guys.
Fullbuster
Ahlalala....I stopped coming here, waiting to watch CA CW to make my return and what is it that I see? A closed thread for a while and losing 6 pages I don't know what that was about but it was clearly high time for me to be back to bring some seriousness back I need to do some reading first, I totally stopped reading movies' news to avoid any CA CW spoilers Well, then, let's begin

Yes that's well beyond my expectations from a few months ago, comicbook movies are more dynamic than ever and apparently in Brazil there is well enough room for both Marvel and DC Edited May 6, 2016 by Fullbuster
Fullbuster
So $35m for BvS in Brazil, it's freaking huge with this exchange rate I remember expecting $20m-25m in my earlier forecasts, I was far from the truth and glad about it
