December holidays are always great for big budget family movies, and this year is not an exception: Both Sing and Moana have great weekdays. Sing is following the same strategy as SLOP with discounted tickets offers (around 20% cheaper than usual), reaching $6.5M; Moana now has a brilliant 3.8x multiplier and almost $11M total, and it's now the #20 movie of the year in lc gross and audience. On the other side, Ballerina can only muster a $138K debut.

Passengers gets close to $3M after 5 days; meanwhile, Rogue One slows down a bit, weekend's gross will be key indicator of future performance.

Thanks for these numbers Purple, it's definitely an impressive market, this damn ER is a terrible thing but numbers in lc don't lie : It's a fast-growing, promising market.

Having a top 3 entirely made of comic book movies is also noticeable.

Weekend results. Assasin's Creed opens according to expectations ($3.6M), while Sing is going to earn more than Moana and Rogue One, who would have thought...and btw, I think this is the biggest OS market for Collateral Beauty, so far ($5.2M).

The ER reaching an all-time low is blow to Hollywood movies and the Latin American market that suffered from the weakening of the Brazilian and Argentinian markets and the collapse of the Venezuelan market..in USD of course, and Mexico was holding relatively well, but I guess it will be felt from now on. GOTG2, Justice League and Despicable Me 3 could feel the impact in USD. A shame..
