Mexico Box Office | Planet of the Apes is king with $6.4M OW; good holds for Garfield and Challengers

Korea exploded Fri to Sat so I have a hunch it'll be similar here. Let's say 50% increase, Sun flat, that gives $12.5M OW.

The jump in Korea, while good, is not unusual. Thor 4 and Black Panther 2 jumped 106% and 111% on Saturday compared to 97% for Avatar 2.  Even Ant Man 2 (whose daily numbers Avatar 2 is following very closely) jumped more than 100%

The presale trend of Avatar 2 in Korea is unusual,so I don’t think that’s speak anything

I don't wanna derail the thread with SK box office talk here but what relevance has the presales to what that user and I mentioned? We are talking about Fri to Sat jump and I gave multiple data sets to explain my point. Presales for other days and beyond the weekend has no relevance whatsoever to the Fri-Sat jump for which we have actual numbers. I have no idea why you felt the need to bring it up

Oh good god! TGM jumped 118% compared to 100% for this. Avatar's daily numbers are double TGM!! Avatar will do 1m more than TGM in OW!!! but the daily numbers are almost exactly the same as Ant Man 2 which is whyI mentioned that. But noooooooone of this is in anyway relevant to the Firday to Saturday jump that was being discussed by that user and I and yet you keep bringing up presales and things. FFS I give up, I can't argue with stans of this movie and this thread is already getting derailed. I am done

Korea was more like solid pretty well distributed weekdays into ok/normal weekend jump. Seems like will continue with the distribution trend with strong weekdays next week eyeballing off ps atm but not expecting any single super strong day or couple of days for this there if anything because walk ups are just not there.

Jumps here are not unusual either. This is a market where Sat and Sun explode compared to Fri and for non-frontloaded titles there are day-to-day increases.

Makes sense that Fri was flat because Sat and Sun burned demand and people would just wait until the weekend. Sun may remain flat from Sat due to matinees deflating because of World Cup but should have strong afternoon and night sales as holidays are starting and most kids are off school by now.

As for WOM I'd say is solid @Bruce but there are not reliable enough sites to know as most of them are not for casual audiences.

Good for BPWF to match BP in admissions. Had it done so domestically we'd be looking at $825M here! :bash:

Deadline reports that A2 is up to $15.6M through Monday. That would be a super lunes and a good indication of great legs this week.

Great hold. Making up for that Sunday. Let's hope it keeps that pace; Christmas Day on Sunday should be helpful as well.
