So this is going to pass $6 million and possibly Resurrection F total within the week?

Someone mentioned $10 million but how feasible is that?

Yup, Resurrection of F is going to be passed at least in lc.

Very possible, Resurrection of F opened in the middle of a very crowded summer and managed a 1.8x multi, for this one those legs would be enough for that.

Yup. Total could reach $12M

That's a lot of money for a Japanese anime movie isn't it?

A lot of Hollywood blockbusters would be happy to make that kind of money. That's what Mission Impossible 6 made.

Yeah, actually anime overall is really something here in Mexico but DB is by far the most popular franchise and the fanbase isn't affected by generational change (unlike fanbases for western sagas like SW or ST) but even grows for new generations.

Eastern products are very profitable for distributors and exhibitors, look for other anime releases and K-Pop concerts shown at theatres.

The Russo have CA2, CW and AIW. For Wan, is it FF7, FF8 besides AQM?

FF7 ($779M)

Aquaman ($600M)

Conjuring 1 & 2 ($630M)

Insidious 1 & 2 ($90M)

EDIT. Actually it has already surpassed the milestone. Didn't looked up Insidious numbers before.

So is likely to be more or less frontloaded than Resurrection F? It's supposed to be a better movie but opened much higher.

Is just a guess, $12M to $13M. Battle of Gods and Resurrection of F had bigger competition so Broly could go either way and be more front-loaded or hold a bit better.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly
