PlatnumRoyce
Does it at all matter for Smile that the "earned media" box office coverage ended up being 90% discussion of Bros flopping instead of Smile's great box office numbers and word of mouth? Anyone ever investigated something like this? That's probably an exaggeration but Bros' statements gained traction as controversy of the week. Valonqar
WOM has nothing to do with media headlines. It's people who watched a movie telling other people that they should or shouldn't see it. That's why it's "of mouth" not "of media". It's completely independent of media. Example: Media say a movie is amazing but your uncle and cousins say it's shit. So that negative WOM vs positive media coverage.

stripe
Nice Monday/Tuesday gross for Smile! It should be over 45M after 10 days. Can it become the biggest 2022 horror film (not counting Nope)? I can definitely see it with enough legs to surpass Black Phone's 90M. And if Halloween Ends doesn't improve over HK, watch out!
