Captain America Tops Blu Ray Sales

From Blu- ray.com http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=7666 For the week ending 10/30/2011, Captain America: The First Avenger had a phenomenal bow in the home video market as it placed first in both the Blu-ray and the overall sales charts. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures, The First Avenger was well received by comic fans and movie lovers. Cap ended his first week in stores in a virtual tie with TRON: Legacy for the Blu-ray package media marketshare record of 68%. Dropping one spot to No.2 in the Blu-ray sales chart was Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. In its second week in stores Capt. Jack Sparrow sold 26% as many units as the week's No. 1 Blu-ray seller. Pirates is released exclusively in Blu-ray combo packs until November 15. The sales surprise for the week belongs to Winnie the Pooh. Blu-ray sales have been the driving force behind the recent resurgence in the home video market, and Pooh continues that trend as it achieved a most impressive 50% of total disc sales from the high-definition format. Wonder what CA translate to...I'll give it a go:If pirates fell the usual 75% from last week it must mean that it made a 1/4 of the 1,7 mill copiesThats around 425 k.. And Jack sold 26% of what CA did..So thats around 1,6 mill..... That is insane if the math is true....

Yeah. I thought it will sell roughly in the same ballpark as Thor and X-Men First Class, but it seems to be doing much better.

Mé too. I wonder what happend since its selling so good..Was it really that great?
