CONFIRMED: Star Trek Sequel Panel ‘Unlikely’ For Comic-Con 2012

Our feeling is, that if we can get something together that is worthy of showing on that timetable, then we will most certainly show it. But, if it is sub-par or not ready or requires more post-production, then nobody at Comic Con is going to want to hear us say "hey this is very temporary, but we wanted to show you something." We need to put our best foot forward. We just wrapped principal photography as you know and Comic Con is in mid July so it is an aggressive timetable. If we are going to go we are going to go big or not go at all.

I've been living in San Diego for 4 years now and I still haven't been to comic-con. Every year I want to get tickets and they are always sold out. This year, I was on the site and tickets were available, but I didn't know which day to choose. The problem is, they don't announce the schedule until the tickets are sold out... I've thought of just getting the full 4 day pass but that seems like a waste since I know I'm not going to drive all the way to downtown 4 days in a row.On top of that, this year they had the most fucked up system for buying tickets. They effectively made it impossible to buy tickets from scalpers now since you have to register online when you buy the ticket and your name has to be on it.
