It was dull movie with stupid jokes, stupid villains and over all a stupid, cliche story. Man of Steel at least had the decency to take itself serious. Man of Steel took itself too seriously and didn't have nearly good enough writing to back it up. Iron Man 3 knows exactly what it is. It's a relatively light-hearted Superhero popcorn flick, in the same vein as the Avengers, and I think it did its job very well. I thought the jokes were great, the dialogue sparkled, the action was fantastic and, while I think Kingsley was the better villain, Pierce wasn't nearly bad enough to ruin it. Man of Steel tries too desperately to be a gritty, Dark-Knight style movie, without any understand of what made TDK so good and, as a result, falls flat on its face. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I hadn't heard anyone bash it in real life (or talk about it for that matter), but after going online and reading the criticisms, I was like, "Yeah, that makes sense..."
