So even if it just matches Ultron for 2nd weekend, should be close to 8M admissions by next Sun.

11M stands a real good chance.

Ultron had an extremely strong 2nd weekend. I'am not sure Infinity War will match it. However it collapsed pretty hard in its 3rd and 4th weekends.

Children's day was moved from 5/5 (sat) to 5/7 (mon), part of the current government's initiative to have more non-working days. Weekend will be in effect a 3 day holiday.

This sounds like a fun holiday, we don't we have this in America

America also doesn’t have International Women day, and it’s like the only country in the world that doesn’t celebrate Labor Day on May 1st.

We’re no fun lol.

Asian countries have a lot of interesting Holidays that celebrate the culture (though I guess US does too but they make it a month ala Black History month instead) and individuals.

This has been an issue since Battleship Island. Actually, it caused a scandal that affected its run (but not more than what the movie quality itself did).

However, I think the issue with Battleship Island are more on the side of dishonesty and BTS dealings from distributors that lead to other movies released that same weekend to be pushed to not just less screens, but also ungodly showtimes. Gonna need confirmations from our local friends here, but I don’t think IW has that type of problems.

Don’t think it will affect IW that much beyond prompting the government to push forward with time and effort for the anti-monopoly laws concerning theaters/screens/showtimes etc...
