Kayu, you seem to have a warped definition of hatred. I think you take the concept too lightly. It would be very, very difficult to HATE a film. I suppose you could if the director killed your parents or some shit, but otherwise it's getting tiresome hearing you compare people to terrorists and Nazi sympathizers, etc.

Yeah it's tiresome because I did compare them ONCE. Really tiring right? And thank you for making up the Nazi thing. Would be great if you didn't invent things. Edited by kayumanggi

... This is amateur hour.

You oughta know, you're leader of the pack.

You okay there Sin Graft?

I'm fine, you? I just don't take kindly to people posting complete BS & trying to prop up their arguments with false statements. It's even worse when they ignore the fact they were called out on said false statements. Lying on a forum is still lying, my friend.

BB had a much better critical response and WoM then TASM. The fact that TASM will end up selling the same amount of ticket is a huge disappointment to a true Spidey fan, and must be for you guys as well who expected 300m+.Fact:B&R 107mSM3 336mSo celebrating TASM doing the same business is just loonie logic. Who the hell asked for the reboot when SM came out 10 years ago? I'm just sad that Spidey is no longer fighting with the big guys. I was the leader of the SM3 club in 2007, now I'm branded a hater for using logic and predicting 250m, which turns out to be a very accurate prediction and an amazing call.

Yup, I made it up. I make up everything I write. Especially when it comes to Spider Man.

Then just provide a link, Jack. I did, so why can't you? This is the first I've heard of a marketing budget that high. Give me a link to where you got this information and I'll forward it to the powers that be here so they can make the necessary changes. ;)

Batman Begins had a far superior domestic performance than TASM, BB will have sold much more tickets in the end.

Will disagree on that. After all is said and done, even if you try to twist and turn to underplay The Amazing Spider-Man, just like you did with The Avengers, I still think that The Amazing Spider-Man will end up selling more admission tickets than both Batman Begins and Superman Returns, DOM and OS.

AVATAR WAS A FUCKING FAILURE BECAUSE IT COULD NOT MATCH TITANIC'S ADMISSIONS!

IJ4 WAS A FUCKING FAILURE BECAUSE IT COULD NOT MATCH IJ3'S ADMISSIONS!

TF3 WAS A FUCKING FAILURE BECAUSE IT COULD NOT MATCH TF2's ADMISSIONS!

Give me a break!

Ha ha, he still isn't answering. Maybe because he knows deep in his heart HE. IS. A. HATER.

It must be really painful to make it formal and say, YES, I AM A HATER. But don't call me a hater.

A BIG LOL.

Every film has 'haters' as you call them. Clearly he doesn't want the film to do well which is well within his right.

Kayummangi Lincoln: Hater Hunter.

you are not a hater for predicting 250m. A hater is someone that is spinning absolutely everything (even the worldwide gross as negative) and pretending the reviews are more negative than they are, which many people here gladly will do/did

True, but I don't think anyone is expecting TASM2 to compete with TDK either. Batman has definitely passed Spidey at the box office. That much is certain. But Spidey is not exactly a slouch.

I guess also Casino Royale was a failure because it couldn't match Batman Begins admissions, or even the admissions of a lot of other Bond movies including Die Another Day despite its excellent response

its definitely not 10%. Even china has recently changed to increase upto 25%. I guess in developing markets(China/India etc) its low. But developed matured markets give good returns(may be 40-45%). But if the studio uses local distributors they take a cut as well. So we never know the actual return for the studio.

India also gives 50-52%. I don't think any significant market except China gives under 45%.

How can you be sure of that? Can you give a run down of how much tickets BB sold and how much TASM will have to make to surpass that? I just find this notion flip flopping' really.

TASM will need to gross about 300m to sell more tickets than BB.Why are you guys getting so upset over a couple of posts comparing BB to TASM? They are valid comparisons, you guys can get uptight about nothing sometimes.

While I agree that could be a dead on call, it's just not cool to toot your own horn, in general, let alone before the second weekend comes in. Depending on what happens this weekend and next, it could make over 275, which makes other peoples' calls "amazing". Be patient.
