Actually was quite surprised by this. The trailer looked fairly generic but the actual movie was entertaining. While it did seem like a cross between Sherlock Holmes and Pirates of the Caribbean, it managed to keep me engaged throughout.

The story was pretty weak, and so was Logan Lerman's acting. But the action scenes were well done. If you want a mindless popcorn movie you could do worse.B- (6/10)

It's amusing for the first 15-20 minutes in a "what kind of drugs were these guys on when this was made" type of way, then it gets tedious, and then it's simply awful.

One of my favourite surprises of last year. Had next to no expectations for it, but had tons of fun. Really good fun movie.

Finally saw this and it was surprisingly entertaining. The CGI looked part ok, part shitty but the real-world sets and costumes were top notch, and the action and fun were ok. Sure, not the best, but a good popcorn movie with some nice cheesy performances.
