Archerdude
Sounds great. I know it does'ent say everything but great presales are rarely bad Amen. I agree...unless it's tied to a crazy scheme like Gone with the Bullets or the one from last March (some boxing flick) where the distributor bought out shows on their own. FF7 and AAoU are genuine organic pre-sales, buoyed by discounts and wider distribution, but not distributor lead.
fmpro
I think AOU GEWARA will reach 300k by the end of Sunday and another 100K will be added on Monday. Its at 230k now. Looks like 300k wont happen today and it will fall behind FF7
POTUS 2020
Its safe to assume it should do less presales. Its a Tuesday with less showtimes and no 2d option. Its a small percentage of admissions but could give an indication of hype. We'll see if that follows thru to wed, that's the number I want to see. That'll indicate what it can do for the run. Olive
Its at 230k now. Looks like 300k wont happen today and it will fall behind FF7 If I remember correct, FF7 had 80k very cheap discount ticket on that day.
Archerdude
If I remember correct, FF7 had 80k very cheap discount ticket on that day. you mean Gewara ran a promotion the Friday before the release to trigger the lift?
Fake
After all this hype buildup, if it fails to do 200m OD, I am gonna hit someone. 53 hours till we get the first OD number......
Olive
you mean Gewara ran a promotion the Friday before the release to trigger the lift? Right.. FF7 had more promotion tickets(less than half of normal price) than AOU

Olive
AOU midnight showtimes will likely be just half of FF7. More than TF4 had. TF4 midnights: 20.5M yuan, 4.6k showtimes, 480k admissions FF7 midnights: 51M yuan, 10.5k showtimes, 1.35M admisisons Edited May 10, 2015 by Johnny Storm
keysersoze123
F7 midnights i presume had 10k shows. OD showcount was 105k

FF7 had 20x the midnight shows, but 3x the admissions and 2.5x the box office? I think people need to chill, tomorrow night is a Monday night after all, it isn't going to break box office records no matter how many shows it garners. I do think it has a shot at exceeding T4 though, since Gewara Pre-sales already exceeded it too.
Archerdude
Right.. FF7 had more promotion tickets(less than half of normal price) than AOU Or maybe AOU's promotional ticket campaign went earlier hence it was so far ahead of FF7's a week or so to go? keysersoze123
what would be the average ticket price for AOU. I am assuming it will be higher considering its 3d only.
