Mission Impossible and Transformers completely collapsed in China.

Marvel still doing okay with Guardians 3 and Spider-Verse.

Wonder how Godzilla X Kong will do next year, Godzilla vs Kong had a really strong performance.

Transformers didn't collapse completely, it just underperformed, I think MI7 got really affected by local competition, China wasn't what it used to be so they're fine

Does anyone know how IMAX functions in China?

Like do they get less than half of the profit like how studios get with China box office?

The Chinese movie market's really booming and China's making more and more blockbusters that pushes people to see them on IMAX. Seems very profitable. People also seem to prefer IMAX over Dolby a lot in China.

Warner Bros didn't submit the film for Release Approval. With October Holidays arriving, it's looking less likely, though it's totally upto Warner Bros.

Hmm I haven't seen the movie but I read on reddit that there is a scene in the movie which could be problematic in China. The user did not specify what the scene was about. I wonder if that is true?

More curious about Aquaman 2 to be honest.

The Want to See Numbers on Maoyan isn't even activated lol.

It's doomed, even if it releases.

6,493 WTS Maoyan

3,665 WTS Taopiaopiao

Clearly, it's doesn't seems to be interested. Even, in Hong Kong it came 2nd behind Oppenheimer 5th Thursday.
